There is no guarantee against typos and misspellings on the label, however. I have a feeling this may not have been made in the USA after all.

I get a few fakes through the workshop. There are decent and not-so-decent examples and many are nice guitars in their own right. If you know you’re buying a fake Gibson and are ok with that, off you go. If you’re interested in buying the genuine article, be aware that there are lots of dodgy instruments and a few dodgy sellers. Keep ‘em peeled. I’ve no problem with someone knowingly buying a fake but I don’t like the idea of people getting ripped off.
