Haze JC
Smart and refined, the JC brings a touch of class. It’s a dapper gent with a hip-flask of Scotch concealed in his dinner jacket.
A flamed ash body dressed in the finery of a subtly-bursted, cherry nitrocellulose finish. The cherry theme is continued at the end of the 22-fret, maple/rosewood neck with a headstock finished to match the body colour.
Three Kinman pickups give crystal clear chime with a little bit more warmth and output than vintage. Of course, they contribute their hum-free sound but that extra output can push an amp that bit more. Here’s where the JC’s classy looks start to betray, just a little, something of a wrong-side-of-the-tracks attitude. Blues and rock can jump from the right amp but the JC scrubs up nicely for more sophisticated clean playing when it’s required.
The floating vibrato and rocker bridge bring their own touch of jangle to proceedings and the five-way switching with an extra toggle for additional pickup options gives plenty of scope for tone-tweaking. The Haze JC is at home at any party.
